My mom's disk floppy disk drive failed. She expressed some concern that using the warranty to have it fixed would be a hassle, so I told her I would get a replacement from my friend Drew, who builds and fixes computers. It took me quite a while to get it from him. It turned out not to be compatible, plug-wise. By this time the warranty had expired. So I took the drive out and told my mom I would get a replacement for her. Well, I haven't had a chance to find a store and take it in. In the time I've had it, I've gone to a store exactly twice. I guess I could have made a greater effort to find the time, but I figured it wasn't that essential to her. If she needed to transfer files to or from work, she could e-mail them, and most things come on CD's now anyway.
So now she signed up for internet access from a local provider and they gave her the package on a floppy. She didn't remember at the time that she had no floppy drive, and didn't know she could ask for it on a CD. She's pissed at me for not getting her computer fixed. I took the disk to copy it onto a CD, but then I e-mailed the installation file to her, and the stupid e-mail lost the attachment. That happens to me once in a great while, but WHY NOW?
She just sent me an e-mail saying she wants her disk back because she is going back to the place to ask for a CD. I can copy it onto a CD, but she's just pissed, now. She can't even install it until I have time to help her with that.

And I wasn't cursing all computers - only the ones that suck.
