When I got up this morning, the day didn't look promising. It was raining, and barely above freezing. You can't get much worse than that - unless you add wind. A little while later it was snowing! Those huge sloppy clumps of flakes. Unfortunately, it only lasted about half an hour.
Work was decent today. I actually was able to keep my mind on my work. I was working at a pretty good pace. I got a lot done. I was happy with the output.
Then, after work, I went out to see my brand new stepniece. Well, actually she's a week and a half old, so the visit was a little past due. But then I haven't seen my own niece in three months, and she doesn't live quite so far away. The kid (Skyler - !) Sleeps all the time. The only time she cries is when she's asleep. Or hungry. Put a bottle in her mouth and she just sucks it down - sometimes while sleeping.
There were about two inches of snow on the ground out there. It is only a half hour drive away, but we don't have any snow on the ground here. If I'd known, I would've taken my skis. It was pretty cool. I love snow. I can do without the cold, but what can ya do?
