Friday: chilly but sunny - no complaints but a very cold night sleeping
Saturday: chilly and rainy, then cold and windy - miserable
Sunday: sunny and warm until 2:00. Then a long wet walk back to camp. Remained wet, but not exceedingly cold - not a bad day
Monday: started out sunny, but began raining just before we started packing the car. the rain was fairly light all weekend until then, and it poured - very sucky, but we were leaving
You know how it's good to have a nice sunny day to warm everything up, but a clear night means a cool night. It was seldom clear during the day, and usually clear at night.
I don't know how it is for the rest of the country, but in Wisconsin, don't go camping on Memorial Day weekend. Jim suggested we should all be wearing "born to lose" t-shirts. We always do this trip. One year we had great weather, one year we had good weather, and three years we had sucky weather. Those aren't good odds.
The kicker was that it hardly rained at home all weekend.
