We just had an emergency drill. We all had to go hide in the restrooms. I didn't hear the alarm at first. I was talking to Dean when I noticed a couple of guys walk out of our department. Then I saw Eileen saying, with her hands cupped around her mouth, "this is an emergency response drill! Please go to your assigned shelter!"

I was here once when we had a tornado warning. I was working in the griding room, in back, and just happened to walk out and see nobody at the presses. So I went to the production office, and everyone was crowded in there. They had forgotten I was working.

The guys in my department said when the worked in the basement downtown there was a bomb threat, and when the building was evacuated no one told them. They came upstairs and found everyplace dark.

So the moral of the story is, in the event of an emergency, make sure everyone knows. Especially you Emergency Evacuation Coordinators.

Your Emergency Evacuation Coordinators need a training session! Good grief!

does everyone get a good seat in the restrooms?.....i have to say that it's very nice to live where there is no threat of a tornado.....

i do think it's the individual who needs to know where to go in an emergency.......there are placards and evacuation routes posted in many buildings and most people just pass them by.....it takes only a second or two to familiarize yourself with the route.....i sure as heck don't want to wait for some evac. coordinator to come show me where to go.....i want to meet them at the marshalling area.....i

Yeah, we all knew where to go, we just had trouble hearing that we were supposed to go.

trouble?.......not really.....

in 1964 i watched j c penneys fall down....my mom appeared out of the back door as the shaking stopped....but otherwise, they are no big deal.....

if you feel one, first it takes a little time to recognize it.....once that happens, if it doesn't subside, ya walk over and get your coat and head out to an open area outside.....they aren't near as frightening as a tornado
