I went out with Cyn and my friend Doug. We wen't out to eat. The place had one of those computerized trivia games that you play with restaurant and bar customers from all over the country. We came in third in our place.

Then we came back to my place and played Scrabble. It was a close game, although I wasn't happy that one third of my points came from "quiz" on a triple word score - pure luck. I just had trouble concentrating, all night.

Then we went to a comedy club. Doug's coworker won a party of twenty, so we tagged along. It wasn't all that great. The first guy was the same guy we all saw open for Emo on New Year's Eve. Same routine. The second guy was pretty good - Steve Sabo. The last guy - I can't remember his name - wasn't too great. Even though it was free, I would much rather have spent the evening at home with Cyn.

Early Beatles stuff that you don't care for? Like what? Blasphemy!

just their whole first half, sappy crappy pop songs.

Okay, I'm not being totally serious here. But I'm not a big fan of their early stuff. I recognize that it was weell written, catchy, pop music, but little of it really does anything for me.

I guess maybe you had to be there. ;)

Many of those ealy songs are nice to hear even though I don't go out of my way to hear them. :-)

I very very highly recommend watching the 8-volume Beatles Anthology video set. I checked it out from the library. ;) Every single volume has been edge-of-seat viewing, at least for me.

Beatles as an attitude adjuster

Almost all the Beatle songs put me in a happy mood no matter what. There are some I could do without, like "The Long and Boring Song" ooops, excuse me, "The Long and Winding Road". ;)

I like popping in my Beatles mix tape in the car and singing along nice and loud...when I'm alone. It's been my experience that nobody else likes to hear me sing those! Strange......
