I can't get a fucking campsite reserved. My password was changed since I last reserved one, a couple of weeks ago. So I hit "request a new password." It prompts me for my username and e-mail address, and it sends me a new password. I tried to use it and it took forever. It's been three minutes and it is still trying to log in. What's up? Has my new password not been activated? I don't have time for this shit. I need to get three campsites, and I can only get one for any given date, so I have to use a different username, or get someone else to get the others for me.

So now I'm requesting a new password for what I think is my other account, but it's hanging too. Is it trying to verify that I really deserve this password? Is the site fucked? What? This should've taken 30 minutes, tops. I've been here 30 minutes just trying to get signed in.

You fucking piece of shit! Why can't it be run by the DNR, like it used to? You know, someone who wanted people to camp in their parks, rather than someone who wants to make money off renting campsites? You fucking money grubbing bastards! And you, Tommy Thompson, you asshole! Yeah, you heard me, Mr. high and mighty HHS secretary! If you ever show your face back in this state, I'll smack it. This was your doing! Guess what. Our taxes haven't gone down, but our recreation costs have gone up. And my stress level. You fucking privatize-the-hell-out-of-everything-Republican. Privatization sure fucked up our phone system, and now you've done it to what should be fun stuff. Eat my shorts! And no, you can't hire someone to do it for you.

Okay, now I'm trying to log in again. Let's see what happens.

Nope. Nothing.

UPDATE:
I was just ready shut down, but I tried it one more time. I got in. Yay! But guess what? I can't get the site I want, which shows as available on the chart. It says:
There are some problems with this reservation:
Could not determine if site is available.
This site is not available for the dates you want.

Thanks. thanks a lot, you fuckheads.

I remember the days no reservation was necessary. It takes the fun out of camping. Population control, could happen sooner than we think. (okay that was pessimistic and sadist, sorry).

:-D

Funny you should mention that. I asked my fellow leaders to try and reserve the sites. One of them replied thusly:

I reserved the sites via the phone number on their web site.
I reserved all three, but needed three names to do so. I
used me, Kevin and Mark.

I prefer to use the website because I can get a better idea of what the sites are like, and which ones we should get (like which three are close together). So I tend to forget about the phone. I'll have to remember that plan for the future - use the website to find campsites, and then call in my reservation.
