infrequently posting people

When I posted my poll last week, I was most curious about the people who were really not posting. The problem is that they wouldn't see the poll to answer it.

Hm, not necessarily. Some people occasionally get into read-only mode and read more than they post. But maybe in this case they weren't posting *or* reading.

I would think that if one saw a poll asking why you hadn't been posting, you would take the time to answer it, even if you had been in read-only mode.

Maybe, but still not necessarily! Sometimes the best some of us can do is browse all too quickly and not respond at all. I hate those times, but they do happen.

Although you're probably right that the people in question simply aren't here at all, either reading or writing.

Most of them aren't. You're right that some of them are reading and not posting. One of those people commented on a post from last week, but still missed the poll. I'd think she'd have seen this post and gone there. Oh well.

I noticed your poll and almost answered it, but didn't. Partly the "read-only" vibe that I've had going on lately has also kept me from commenting much lately. Though mainly I wasn't sure how I would answer the question. I'm not posting much lately, but I've never really posted all that much. So am I posting less than usual, or is this lack of posting the same as usual.

Basically, I'm not posting much lately, but it's not really less than usual either....

Things are going fairly well, just pretty busy with work these days. Also some of my lack of posting recently might be attributed to not having a good internet connection at home anymore since I moved. I want my broadband back!
