scouts

I played kickball last night. In the gym, with one of those big red playground balls. Like baseball, except you kick the ball and you can get somebody out by throwing it at him.

The scouts chose that as their game for the evening. Just for dumb fun. There were almost as many leaders there as there were boys so it was us against them.

It was proven once again why I don't play games like this. I have neither coordination nor stamina. I got through the game okay, but I was very winded. I managed to not make a fool of myself by dropping the ball too many times - I can't catch for crap.

It was fun nonetheless. And we lost, six to five.

That scar on my chin is from Evil Kickball, the scourge of the un-athletic geeky gradeschool child...namely me. I hated that game.
