I was looking at the memorial to the victims of the 9-11 attacks,at CNN. I see 34 people who were from countries besides the United States. There were 26 more people whose nationality/residence are unknown.

There were people from all over the world working in the trade centers. They are listed as a residence of the place they are living now but many were legal aliens with work status here. In other words there were probably hundreds of different nationalities of people killed in the attack, originally from outside this country but now living and working here in New York.

The point is the people that were targeted were from all over the world not just Americans so the terrorists attacked the world when they attacked the Trade Centers. It just doesn't make sense to me and I am sure the world will never be the same.

I'm pretty sure that is what they meant. I say this because somewhere I heard something about a higher precentage of foreign born people working in the building.

I question the accuracy of the information CNN produces at the best of times. There were 23 Canadians killed, and only five are listed.

That's why I posted the link - something seemed strange. But it seems to be listing places of residence, not place of birth. Notice they list cities, and not just countries.

I was looking at that site for a little while yesterday. It's absolutely heartbreaking.
