Current Mood: Hyper and confused. I'm in high gear because of all the work I have to do, but I'm overwhelmed by it all, and trying to figure out how this is all going to affect me. And I don't really know where to start with what I have to do right now, let alone figure out what I have to get done by the end of the week. I've got so much going on that my days are getting planned a couple of weeks in advance, and I'm panicking because not everything I need (or want) to do is getting in.

Are you talking about your work on the job? Or both your work at work as well as at home?

Either way, I know the feeling all too well, a kind of sinking feeling of OVERWHELM. Otherwise known as Juggling or The Great Balancing Act. The only way out is by Prioritizing, which is sometimes next to impossible.

I hope you can get a handle on it soon!

P.S. At the library we just experienced our first rolling blackout and were without power except for our emergency generators for about 90 minutes. It ended just in time for my scheduled hour at the reference desk, of course!

I saw the article in the newpaper that your blackouts were starting. I wondered if you were affected.

Rolling blackouts, rolling earthquakes I can do without. Just give me some Rolling Stones music to tide me over between emergencies!

Or Dylan's "Like A Rolling Stone"

I'm sure some would settle for a Rolling Rock beer.

Ser, I was referring to both work and home-work. And my job will soon be requiring overtime, which is a big reason for my panic.
