I missed my friends' son's first birthday party, yesterday. I was really upset. I spent the morning at Cindy's and got home at 1:30 to find a message from my friend from the night before, making sure I was going to give him a ride to it. I was looking forward to seeing them again. It's been since last spring that I've had a chance to talk with Laura. I've seen Phil more often, but still haven't had much of a chance to really talk. I can't remember when I saw the boy last. In their Christmas card picture he looks much older than he did when I last saw him.

I spent the week trying to figure out what I could put off until Saturday. Wednesday was gaming. Doug came over on Thursday. On Friday I went with Cindy to a retirement party for two of her coworkers. I had to leave work early each of those days, so not only did I have to put off pretty much everything I had to get done around the house all week, but I had to leave work early each day. I was planning for a couple of days, just how Saturday would go - what time I would spend with Cyn, when I would go into work, whenI would clean the house, etcetera. The party never crossed my mind.

The party on Friday was nice. Cyn and I spent the evening with joei and her husband. It was a good time.

I'm convinced that many of us really need a personal assistant to help us get through the days and not forget important things!!

I'm sorry we missed the birthday party too. I wish I had remembered. I haven't seen Phil and Laura since May. I was so obsessed with thoughts of the retirement party, I forgot the rest of the weekend.
