I didn't realize that John Ashcroft was the guy who lost the gubernatorial election (in Missouri) to a dead guy.

If figures the only office he could hold was an appointed one.

Yes...here in MoKan Land, all the liberals regard him as satanic, and we were all ready to camp out in Lonita's hallway when he got...appointed. Of course, George Bush was almost appointed, too, since he wasn't *really* elected properly. At least not in my view. The electoral college must go.
