Christmas cheer

I had a nice Christmas, but for some reason I don't feel like writing about it. Maybe I'm just antsy to get offline and get something done.

Last night it was mom's house, with my sister and her husband and daughter, and Cindy. Nikki was crabby, and we opened presents, ate dinner, and played the Simpsons trivia game. It was a nice time.

In the afternoon, it was Cyn's mom's with Cyn's kids and her sister.

In the morning was Cindy's house with her kids. That was fun.

Sunday was mentioned earlier.

I received:
a plush Dr. Finklestein
a blender
a cocktail shaker
a ladle (heavy duty chrome stainless steel)
a candy thermometer
a metal Dr. Pepper sign
a portable vacuum cleaner
an "Entertainment" coupon book
a Celeborn LotR figure from Burger King
a fancy desk clock
a portable heater (for my bathroom)
a framed picture of my niece
the aforementioned Edward Gorey biography and picnic backpack

2) THIS IS EXTREMELY VIOLENTLY DANGEROUS. *knowing a males tendencies to push the limits and have fun with his activities, she can only imagine what he'll do when things get upwards of 200 degrees. It isn't called 'napalm' for nothing at that stage. I hope you have your kitchen and home thoroughly insured...???*

You should have seen it. He's holding up his candy thermometer and sees that his sister got one too. So he says, "Oh! You got a rectal thermometer too?" LOL ewwwwwwwww

Give him some videos of Martha Stewart making candy toffee and such from scratch and maybe he'll get the idea... :) [She has a foolproof toffee recipe on her website for free, if you wish to try it out, but BE CAREFUL, when sugar gets that hot, it IS nicknamed 'napalm' and it can be very dangerous. You can't just walk away from it at that stage or anything, you have to watch it carefully...*speaks with voice of experience after she completely ruined/melted a copper pan :( it was long ago, but I learned my lesson*

Hope you had a merry ole time. My Christmas is still going on as my sister arrives tonight and I go get my son on Friday. After that, we're going to Florida for a week or so. I love Florida in January... more birds on the beach than people!
