A guy from the 440th Tactical wing came to our Boy Scout meeting to talk to us about winter survival. He has taken just about every survival course that the military offers - land, water, desert, arctic, etc. He talked about more than just "food". He's eaten a lot of weird stuff, though. He said, "when you bite into a banana slug, they stretch out to their full length..." (Okay, he said that one was really bad. It was part of an initiation.)
