I've been shoveling all afternoon. I'm hurtin'. I'm tired. I'm not done yet.

Funny thing is, after you surrender, you're still stuckwith the snow. Instead of fighting it, you're stuck in a POW camp, because you can no longer leave the house.

And I still haven't been skiing.

You need a massage!...

...which is just what some of us were discussing with Nahima.

Which reminds me, could someone tell me how to turn my LJ friends' names into links when I mention them here? What's the html code?

Links

You want, for example to link to freekee? What you do is put this in:

<a href='http://www.livejournal.com/users/low_delta'>freekee</a>

J, the tech god.

I always wondered how you got the pairs of brackets to show up.

ampersand,ell,tee,semicolon, huh?

Where can I find a list of html? Characters and commmands. I did a bit of a search, once, and didn't come up with anything.

Tech what!

It's my job to know this stuff. Those sequences beginning with ampersand are called "character entities", and you can find a table at

The rest of the <a href='http://www.htmlhelp.com/'>site</a> is pretty good too.

ROFL

There - what sort of god would post that nonsense?
What I tried to say was that you can see the entities at http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/entities/latin1.html, and the rest of that site is good too.

thanks

That page was great. Now where can I find more code codes? Like all those listed at the bottom of the LJ posting pages. I only recognize a third of them, at most.

I didn't get very far in the rest of that site.

Do you mean where it says:
Paragraphs will be automatically formatted. Allowed HTML: <a> <b> <big>

This are normal HTML tags. Try going to HTML Help and put the tage name in the search box for details.
