It took us four hours to get Nikki from the hospital.

First, it took a half hour for my mom to pick me up, decide that I should drive instead, turn around, get my car and drop hers off at her house. The woman can hardly make a left-hand turn, and it was snowing, so we had to take the llllooooong way around the block.

We got to the hospital easily enough. It's a half-hour drive. The freeways were just fine. I had trouble seeing because of the salt spray, but the roads were only wet; not snowy. We got back okay too, but we had to stop at Shopko to pick up her prescriptions. The doctor forgot to put the strength on it, so they had to call to get that, so it took over 45 minutes.

Nikki is doing well though. She seems happy enough. She even gave me a little half smile.

Now I’m having company tonight, so I’ll spend the rest of the afternoon cleaning the house and shoveling. I have a drawer to assemble, for my new filing cabinet. If I have enough time, I want to go visit little Will. That’s another kid I don’t see enough of.

You worried me there for a second....4 hours?! I thought maybe the snow caused a nightmare on the roads and I was afraid to attempt the trip. Whew!

I think Will is more important than the cleaning....

Kids are the greatest...at least before the teen years LOL
