If you can get out before dawn next week, look for Venus. You'll be able to see Mercury nearby. Mercury will be within a degree of Venus for a week and a half starting on Monday.

Thank you. I've never seen Mercury and have been trying for a long time. I've seen Venus in the morning nearly every day for a few weeks now, but it never occurred to me to look for Mercury nearby. I hope I can see it next week.

That's a great site, and they have a program (HomePlanet) you can download which gives you all the star and planet info on your computer. I have it; it's great.
