This morning some radio announcers were bitching about Clinton again. They mentioned and incident at the concert over the weekend, where someone cornered him backstage, and asked how he would be handling the current situation differently than Bush. Clinton told the person that we should be unified and supportive of the president.
The DJ who told the story said he was impressed by the class that Clinton showed in his response, the other announcer said that there was no doubt in his mind that Clinton said that ony so people would think he was a great guy. Then the first announcer decided that was probably closer to the truth.
Look people,
1. Almost any politician would have said the same thing.
2. Bill Clinton has done that job, and knows how difficult it is, and isn't going to second guess anyone, especially when he knows damn well he doesn't have all the information about what is going on.
3. From what it sounded like, he said it in anger. As in "leave me the hell alone!" He's got to be sick of that.

Its often said that the media is suppose to be a 'watchdog' for the public.
But if my 'watchdog' tried to chew out the throat of my mailman or child (or another 'stupid' thing,) the humane society would have come by and shot him by now. And I would have been served legal papers and sued for my own stupidity of allowing him to do that, no doubt.
Sigh.
