I'm not thrilled with Bush's statements. They pretty much amount to "We're not gonna take it. They're not gonna win by making us afraid, and we're gonna do whatever it takes to find them."

Ooh, I feel so much better now.

Somebody let me know if he says anything concrete.

what if those same words came out of clinton's mouth? "buck up" statements are fairly popular in times like these~ what would you like to hear?

No I don't think I'd have felt much better if Clinton had said the same thing.

I want to hear about what actions we're taking. whether it is analyzing intelligence reports, searching for the responsible parties, or getting them. I don't want to hear what I've already heard.

I realize that what he said had to be said, but it seems like it has been said before, so I wonder why I am there, dutifully sitting in front of the TV waiting for a word from our leader, when that word word doesn't amount to much of anything. I suppose he just had to reiterate, in case anyone hadn't understood it the first time.

the real actions being taken to find the responsible parties will never be made public, at least, not in this decade......you know everyone, even terrorists, can watch CNN......

i don't think it's anyone's duty to sit in front of the TV waiting for a word from the prez at a time like this......i think one needs to get on with life......

and as far as the news goes, they are having a field day, hashing and rehashing, analysing and speculating, talking about lotsa stuff but no real substance......it's going to go on for a long time......or at least, until the ratings drop
