At the time of the impact, the towers were not at full operation (10,000 people in each building as opposed to 150,000 by mid-day). After the impact of the first plane, Tower A didn't collapse for 60 minutes - plenty of time for an evacuation. An hour and a half, for Tower B.

Mike and I were just talking about this. He said that he thinks this kind of attack couldn't happen mid-day. It happened in the morning because that's when our defenses are down. Can there be any truth in that??
