I got an art supply catalog in the mail. Blick's. I'm not sure why it came to me. I haven't even gotten any photography type mailings in a while.

I shouldn't have looked. It reminded me of all the things I want to do, and have been wanting to do for years. I haven't done any appreciable amount of artworks since my art classes in high school. Since then I've tried to keep drawing. For a while I was down to one good drawing a year, but I haven't done one in... four years, maybe? I started one, but I got in over my head, and gave up. I haven't even gotten out on a photo excursion.

I want to do a scratchboard. And some chalk pastel. And I've got this damn litho stone on my desk.

oh my ! welcome to my world! this is exactly how i am(in fact, you know i've been complaining about this for years) i want to do so many things, that absolutely nothing gets done. when somebody asks me about my interests, the first thing i say is painting,amongst other things. but then why haven't i done anything substantial in - well, since i can remember? so many other things take up the time...things that i don't love doing anywhere near as much. i could be glued to that art supply catalog for hours!

ummm..kevin? its 4 days later, and i just received a Blick studio catalog in the mail. no kidding.IT'S A SIGN!!!!! heehee. very weird, tho.
