I wasn't going to post because we didn't do much today. I ran to the hardware store for paint while Cindy emptied the lowers and removed the doors. And I closed up the attic access hole.

So then I was looking at the plumbing situation. I thought the kitchen sink might have had no shut-offs, and I was right. That's not good. It's going to be days without a faucet, so I have to figure something out. I have to either add a shut-off valve, or cap it off temporarily.

Before we started, I was thinking I wanted to re-drywall that entire wall. I was thinking that, in part, due to plumbing issues. Since there is so little pipe sticking out of the wall, I might have to cut a hole in the wall, and add plumbing to the supply lines, to get to the correct fittings. The other option is to put shut-off valves in the middle of the lines that are in the ceiling of the basement.

I'm taking tomorrow afternoon off work, so I'll remove the cabinets there and get started on the plumbing ASAP. If I don't take Friday off work, I'll have Friday night, some of Saturday and most of Sunday to work on it. The cabinetmaker is coming on Monday to install the lowers. Hopefully. That was rescheduled from the day before, and we won't be surprised if he tries to move it back to Tuesday. Flooring will be installed on Wednesday and Thursday.
