my afternoon
Apr. 25th, 2017 07:55 pmHere's how things tend to go for me.
I needed a couple of things from the hardware store, and was going to take a pair of pants to the drycleaner.
I could only remember one thing I needed from the hardware store - replacement plug for an appliance. I knew I had a coupon for Ace, but I couldn't find it. They always send these coupons for $5 off if you buy $25 worth of stuff.
I got the pants out of the bedroom. I went outside to look around, and got the mail. There was a coupon from Ace. But it wasn't good until next month. But the mailer did remind me that the other thing I needed was water softener salt.
So I went to the store. I was almost there when I realized I forgot the pants.
Got the plug. Realized I had a $5 coupon in my wallet. But I wasn't going to buy $25 worth of stuff. Went to the counter. Waited there so long I forgot that I needed salt. I remembered when I got to my car, and went back inside. Waited forever again. Drove around to pick it up from the side of the building, and waited a good five minutes for someone to come out and give me the salt.
I got home and realized my purchases were $22. I could have just added a light bulb or something I'll need at some point, to get $5 off.
Not everything went wrong!
