Had a reasonably productive weekend.

I fixed the dishwasher with $1.37 in hardware. A roller had broken off where the top rack rides on its track. We ordered the replacement parts, which cost about $40 with shipping, but they're not going to arrive until Friday. We can't go a whole week without a dishwasher (#firstworldproblems), so I stopped at the hardware store and picked up a bolt, nut and a couple of washers. Works just fine. So well I'm not sure I would have bothered to order the replacement parts. Well... I guess there are four more rollers that could break, so sure, I guess.

At the hardware store, when I went to pay, I discovered I had forgotten my wallet. They let me take the hardware anyway, and I can pay later. She attached it to my rewards card, so if I ever want to get any points again, or use any coupons, I'll pay it. Still rather nice of them. So then I stopped to get gas, and didn't remember that I had forgotten my wallet until I was just about ready to shut the car off. Duh!

Ran the fireplace all weekend (daytime), and split wood on Saturday. Cleaned up the shed a little bit. I'm looking forward to seeing if this has made a dent in our gas bill. It will be hard to say, since it's been such a warm winter.

Did a few other errands. Replaced windshield wipers, renewed car registration (emissions testing), went to the wine store, watched some Classic Trek.

We went out for a two-mile walk on Saturday. First time I've been on a walk in months, I think.

Last Thursday was a month since my surgery. Only minor issues with my back, as far as I can tell. One is that I still get some twinges in my leg when I bend over. They told me I'd have some nerve issues for a while after the surgery, so I guess that's normal and temporary. The other thing is that there's a lump in my back. Just above the incision, the fascia muscle sticks out a little. Doc says that's because it got rearranged a bit, and it should smooth out over time. Maybe a year. But I also get a tight feeling in that area - from there radiating outward toward my side. Almost like a stitch, but not as painful.
