Day 6, Islay, part 2

After leaving Kilnaughton Bay, we went to Bowmore. It's the capital of the island, and about 850 people live there. It's the home of Bowmore distillery, and we stopped in there for a look around, but there was nobody to give us any whisky.

Day 6, Islay, part 3

After Finlaggan, we went back west, and out the north side of Loch Indaal to Port Charlotte. Bruicladdich distillery is near there, so we stopped in for a wee dram, then moved on west.


We parked next to a little church (that now houses the Museum of Islay Life) and churchyard (cemetery) and walked back up the road to photograph Loch Indaal Lighthouse.
