cars and snow
Jan. 8th, 2009 11:54 pmWe're supposed to get a big snow storm tomorrow.
My car is a Mustang. It's rear-wheel drive, has wide-ish tires with not-great tread. I do fine with it in the snow, but I'm well-practiced (I prefer rear-wheel drive in the snow). I switched cars with the boy, because he needed a reliable car to take to Illinois. I hope he brings it back in one piece. His car is a POS Escort. I can't remember the last time I drove a car with manual transmission. It's front-wheel drive, and I'm not familiar with driving them in the snow. Okay, Cyn's car is front-wheel drive, but it's rather large, has good tires, an automatic transmission and traction control. I know I'd be slipping and sliding this little go cart all around. Or I'd burn out his clutch.
