Devices were found placed around a city. The devices consisted of large LED displays with circuit boards and batteries attached. Let's look at some quotes from Boston public officials.

Boston Police Commissioner Edward Davis called the stunt "unconscionable,"

Democratic Rep. Ed Markey, a Boston-area congressman, added, "It would be hard to dream up a more appalling publicity stunt."

I'd say ol' Ed doesn't have a very good imagination.

winter

This winter has been nice, at least for the last three weeks. There has been snow on the ground, since it's only been above freezing a couple of days. I'm very happy to look outside and see that bright white snow. It's only been two or three times we had to get out and shovel, and even when we got the six inches, it wasn't a very heavy snow to shovel. Since then, we've had just enough snow to keep it white, rather than grey.

Now, it's going to get cold. I can deal with temps in the single digits, but for the next few days we're going to have below zero at night, and *maybe* above zero in the daytime. It's been clear and windy, which means it gets really cold. I don't like to be out in that. Fortunately, I don't really have to be. I have a car.
