Laws are put in place to protect people. If you feel that a law is not protecting the people, protecting some at the expense of others or just plain wrong, the proper way to handle it is to have the law changed. The wrong thing to do is to disobey that law.

This is good citizenship. I've understood this for a long time. In fact, we teach this in Boy Scouts.

It's bad enough that the medication passes through your body and ends up in the water system, don't flush raw medication down the toilet.
