muffler

I left my car at Midas last night to get the muffler replaced. It's only been three years, but the car seems noisy, I've seen exhaust coming from underneath the car, and I used to have to replace it every two years because of all the short trips I do (working close to home has very few of these minor drawbacks). I had to walk to work this morning.

When I got here there was a message to call them. The guy told me that the muffler was fine and didn't have to be replaced.  ??   He said there was a leak in the valve cover gasket, and my air filter was dirty. I let him change the air filter. I figured I'd give him a couple of bucks for his trouble.

I need to take it in to my regular mechanic for some other work, so I'll have him do the valve cover gasket.

got cable

That's another reason I was home yesterday. And the cable guy even came early.

Seems nice so far. Not a huge difference because LJ is still slow, but the pictures come in instantly when the pages do show up. It's amazing how little I do online aside from LiveJournal. though I do have to catch up on Weebl and Bob.
