Trudeau stated: "The strip isn't really about masturbation or the prostate cancer study as such, but about the shifting nature of taboos and the inability of two adults to have a certain kind of serious conversation. ... Still, I understand that the mention of certain words per se will not be acceptable to some family newspapers, which is why the syndicate is making an alternative strip available."

Then, The Boondocks

the weekend

Didn't accomplish much of importance today, so after supper, I decided to mess with the compost. Cyn has a compost bin that is getting rather full, so since we had to remove some, and the front flowerbed needed some more dirt... Unfortunately, there was a bee's nest in it. I got stung. It sounded like one was caught in my hair, but suddenly it was gone, and there was a sharp pain right at the top of my head.

Before that, we spent some time at some local cemetaries, trying to use up some film I started in Chicago. Holy Cross, Valhalla, Pinelawn and Wisconsin Memorial Park. Got some good pictures.

Before that, I spent time on LJ and read the morning paper.

Yesterday, on the other had, was very productive. I finally got the molding put up in my bathroom. Almost finished. If I can put up the towel bars, I'll call it done. Almost started a crate I'm making for some of my cast iron (designed it and got the hardware, but didn't cut any wood). Ran errands in the morning. Cindy helped out with stuff too. It was a productive day. We went out to Sol Fire (a new Latin American restaurant) for margaritas (good drinks, but expensive).

Friday night we went out to eat at Ferrante's. I was not very pleased with my spaghetti. Took half of it home. After that, I finally got my irises in the ground, and cleaned the house a little.
