2002 in review

Last night, Cyn and I had dinner at some friends' house. It was a very nice, quiet evening.

Before that, I was working on my plumbing, since I am remodeling my bathroom.

Then there was Christmas, and before that was Thanksgiving.

I forget what else. Summertime, I think.

sorta done

I got most of the plumbing done. I got all the water lines in, with the exception of hooking up the valve in the shower and the shutoffs for the toilet and sink. I'll do all that tomorrow, and then I can turn on the water and check for leaks.

watertower

This was the first picture I ever took that I was really happy with, like I could enlarge it and frame it. I didn't take any more like that for a long time. I would have had it enlarged but I've lost the negative. I can't retake it, because the thing was torn down.

If you know your constellations, you can see four stars of the big dipper. There is one more that shows near the bottom, in my original, but I had to crop it out after I scanned it.

When I was cleaning this one up for posting, I decided to use it as wallpaper. It's the only photo I've ever used for wallpaper. Normally, I choose designs that don't interfere with my icons, or distract me from what I'm working on, but this one has a fairly unobtrusive background, and the tower happens to not be where my icons are.
