how to get around rules

Many years ago there was a guy who wanted to build a second story on the top of a building near here that he owned. The city wouldn't let him. He finally jacked the building up and built the second story underneath it.

bathroom project

I worked on my bathrom all day, and it seems like I hardly did anything... again. Everything is taking more than twice as long as I expected. And I already put in a factor of two before I started. I spend too much time sitting and staring and trying to decide how to proceed.
