time waits for no one, but Tom Waits for everyone

If you're a Tom Waits fan, you might want to check out Jasper Toast's show on WMSE. He's on every Tuesday from nine to noon (Central time), and the middle hour of his show is devoted to Tom's music. If you can't listen when he's on live, you can go to the schedule page to find his archives and listen to a stream. He's been doing this for quite a while, so you can find a lot of his shows.

We the people

I'm a big believer in the freedoms of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, but I have little respect for those who feel that it doesn't matter if their own freedoms infringe on those of others.

In other words, my pursuit of happiness can not infringe on yours. We've each got to give up just a little so that all of us can remain alive, free and happy.

I just got a piece of spam from myself. It was sent from my address to "undisclosed recipients." It has "freekee" in the subject line. It was advertising "America's #1 Rated Computer Certification Training Provider".

How the hell did they do that?

And now my computer shows "dowloading updates 79% complete" and a little MS icon on my toolbar. I didn't authorize that. What updates?

I wanted to tell you all about my weekend in Minceapolis. I never go the chance, and never decided what I'd say if I did. I'm a bit pressed for time, since I'm not feeling well, and I really want to go to bed.

It was good to meet Serendipity. I was immediately comfortable with her. It was fun hanging out with the Serendipity Kid.

The Science Museum in St. Paul was very nice. It is a hands-on kind of place. We also went to the zoo in Como Park. It was small, but the exhibits were good.

I wish we could have spent more time with our good friend Ms Fledermaus.
