They're rebuilding the road outside our industrial park. There are two entrances from that side. They always have one open and one closed, depending on where they're doing the work that week. Today, the first was closed as usual, but when I got to the second entrance, a guy was dragging a barricade across the entrance. I stopped to see what was going on. The far side of my road was already blocked off. I said to the guy, "why do you do this to me?" He said, "it's closed buddy!" I yelled, "but why don't you open the other one?!" He yelled back, "Fuck you!"

Okay, I could expect the "conversation" to get antagonistic, but when a constructive suggestion is met with raw anger, I tend to get upset. I would have expected a blank stare, or an "it's not my job!" but "FUCK YOU!"? Come on. I think I'll write a letter.

So far I've downloaded:
Whammer-Jammer, J.Geils Band
Memo From Turner, Jagger/Cooder
Not Fade Away, Rush
Hawkmoon 269 (live), U2
Jesus Christ, U2

I'm happy with those songs, but I'm not happy that I can't get any of the other songs I've found. Too many people want them.

I'm using WinMX. It is not particularly user friendly, at least not for the novice. Can anybody recommend another program?

I just felt I needed to let you all know that (1) I have e-mail notification set up, so I do read all of your responses, even to my older posts (this means you, J), and (2) even though I seldom reply to many of your comments, I really appreciate them.

Like my post about the road builder rage. You all had something important to say, but I didn't feel liek saying the same thank-you to each post.Take that as you wish. I do smile at many of your comments, and I seldom say so. I'm worried that you'll stop saying anything, because you think I don't care very much, but that's not true. I do care, and I do appreciate what you have to say.

The problem with having plans is that most of your time is spent waiting for the plans to come to fruition.
