We had brats for lunch.

Who knows what bratwurst are? Raise your hands!

Brats and burgers and potato salad and stuff. I guess it was in lieu of a company picnic this year. Some of the supervisors did the cooking and serving.

*raising my hand*
I know I know!!
Got any extras? It's been a whole hour since I ate.

*jumps up and down waving both hands*
I'll have some extra too!

I also like knackwurst. :>

I've never had knackwurst. Do you like yours piled with kraut? (Just a guess.)

I should have known you'd know, being from the Midwest (more or less). :-)

*looks around herself* I'm from the midwest? I wish people would tell me when I've moved, it would make some things SO much less confusing. :>

Okay, I was generalizing again. I probably shouldn't do that, especially since I've never been to Ontario, but it seems rather midwest-like to me. And it's right by Michigan - wait, there's a lake in between. I don't know. Just ignore me.

Ahh, but we're also right next to Noo Yawk, too. So you gotta be careful. :>

Though, I must admit, we are rather _middish_ when it comes to geographical location. :>

I've never had kraut, by the way, so I really can't opine. ;>

I can't stand sauer kraut (onions and vinegar, or something) so I think if you haven't had it you're better off.

cookout?

Hehehe =)

We have to special order Johnsonville stuff here... Actually (my parents are from Wisconsin but I lived there only 1 year when I was 8) when we're up there, we stock up on WI-only items like Kringle, 50/50 soda, cheese curd, brats, summer sausage, more cheese, and corned beef from Benjamin's Deli. We try to eat at Pandl's or at least Mama Mias.... =o) That always makes me happy!! It's even better if we can make it to Summerfest... But not this year...

My son is going to try for a job at Mama Mia's when he gets back from camping.

Kringle...mmmmmmmmmmm...I almost bought some yesterday.

You don't buy kringle! You make it. Or you find someone who does. Now who do I know who makes her own yummy kringle?
