Friends recently bought a condo, and had a housewarming party, so we could all see the craziness.
Would you buy a place that looks like this?

Note the appliances. There's a wine fridge and a small dishwasher. Opposite this is a mini fridge. There is also a gas cooktop (with an oven, I think). There are no upper cabinets.

Here's another view (not my photo). Notice the "portholes" on the wall. Some of them have mirrors, but most have glass. Guess where they go?

The bathroom. While you're showering, you can look out into the kitchen, and even into the street!

Oh, but it gets better!

This is the bedroom at the back of the place. It has portholes into the bathroom as well!

I don't know if you can tell, but the vanity is made of a section of corrugated steel culvert with holes cut into it.
Oh, but it gets better! That was the main floor. The top floor has an Adam-themed bar.

Notice that Adam's fig leaf has fallen off.

(Not my photo) Above the sink there had been a stained glass window that the previous owner took with him. I forget if that was the original deal, or if our friends asked him to take it.

(Not my photo) This was the view from inside the bathroom.

On the top floor there is a deck at the front. Inside is the Adam-themed bar. The next room back is an Eve-themed bathroom. No, there is no semi-nude Eve...

But there are parts of her.

And at the back of the place is the master bedroom, which is Satan themed, or at least has serpents and apple trees.

Note the steps up into the shower. I thought I got a photo of it, but you can't get into the shower from inside the bathroom.
The place is semifamous. Here are a couple of news articles/videos, if you'd like to see more...

The first one has a video. I love the part in the interview where the artist says "it's totally family friendly." Putting aside the issue of Adam's faucet, a two-bedroom apartment is not particularly family friendly, not for that price, nor is a bathroom with windows into it!
It was originally listed at 400K - there is retail space on the ground floor - but our friends got it for much less than that. It was on the market for over six months in this market!
