no sleep

When we went out to eat on Monday night, I ate too much. I can never sleep after eating. I didn't get to bed until nearly 3 am.

I was pretty tired the next day, but of course I wake up around bedtime. I went to bed at my usual time, so that night I got a bit over six hours of sleep. Certainly didn't catch up that night.

The next night my brain was all riled up, and didn't fall asleep until about 1:30. I was awakened half an hour later by the water softener starting up. Lost half an hour due to that.

It wasn't until last night that I fell asleep right away, and got around seven hours of sleep, which is what passes for a full night of sleep these days. I wonder if I can do it again tonight?

I know that everyone's tolerance for canabis is different. I also know that growers have bred strains of canibis that help for a wide variety of issues. I know that specific strains of canabis have passed rigorous testing here and in Europe, in double blind experiments that show scientifically verifiable and repeatable results. Here is my recent experience as a lifelong NON user. A month before my knee surgery M and I went to a dispensary with the specific intent to get products that might help with pain management (I never want to take opiates again and I didn't for this surgery). I got several products, one of which was a box of "Space Gem" gummy drops each of which contain 5mg 50/50 THC and CBD. I cut the dose in half so I was taking 2.5 mg, which was about right for me. Roughly 40 minutes after taking the product I am sleepy enough to go to sleep. I wake up relaxed and not in pain. This happened night after night. It didn't help quite quite as well right after surgery, but then I wan't upping the dosage either. Now it is working again as my general pain levels subside.

We can't get THC here in Wisconsin. I'm also a non-user, but 'd be willing to try it if it could stop my brain from concentrating on whatever's on my mind.
