I got the snowblower running. I brought it in the house. Actually, I first had it in the sun porch, where it's around 40 degrees. Then I took it back out and tried it again. When it still didn't start, I brought it back in, but I took it down the six steps to the basement.
I decided the only difference between trying it now and trying it in September was the temperature. So I warmed it up.
