kitchen remodel 35 - first look

On Saturday when he left, the cabinetmaker said he'd be back on Monday or Tuesday. I was not extremely hopeful for Tuesday and figured it would be Wednesday. It was Thursday. He got done with the drawers and door fronts around 4:30, and showed up just before 5:00. He (and his son) only did the doors and drawer fronts, and he's coming back tomorrow morning to do the crown molding, kickplates, and panels on the underside of the uppers. Oh, and I changed my mind about the drawer handles, so we won't get those until Monday.

But it's nearly mostly done!

It looks great so far! I read your posts about demoralizing bits and I can only imagine how challenging all of it is. It's a HUGE undertaking and you've been plugging away at it and making great progress. It does sound like a small break is needed, as you suggested. Tho that makes YOU the dishwasher. :)

Oh, it looks much better with the tile!

As of now, I'm just doing little putzy things. Putting away more tools. Running to the store. I figured out which circuit my shed is on. Irrelevant to the kitchen project, but it was a tiny success, so it made me smile.
