I can't believe how long it takes to cover the room in plastic so I can sand. About 20 minutes, I think. And I go through a lot of tape, taping some of the plastic to the wall, to keep dust from going behind the stove. Of course, I slipped and dumped a bunch of it back there anyway, when taking the plastic down.
I spent more time sanding than expected, since I was just cleaning up what I put more mud on Saturday. It was supposed to be just some final touch-up. So after sanding I put more mud on, as a final touch-up. We'll see how that goes. If all goes well, I can do the final sand, and then actually paint.
After painting, we have to clean everything very carefully. We need to get all the plaster dust out of the new cabinets, and off of the new flooring.
When the flooring was completed, the guy didn't replace all of the quarter-round molding. Apparently he couldn't puzzle it back together, and ended up with too many short pieces to fit some medium sized places. We meant to complain when the company called to ask for payment, but they haven't called. They finished on the 2nd.
