Got home a little late last night, and then I the second coat of mud on the north and east walls.
Today, after lunch, I sanded everything, and added some final mud to fill in after sanding. Sanding was hard work. Masked in and in a warm room. I was covered with dust, and then some of it got "plastered" to me due to the sweat. There will still be some heavy sanding the next time, but only in a couple of spots.
I need to find out exactly how much of the wall will be covered by the cabinets and crown molding. Some of it will be exposed, I'm sure, and needs to look good. The rest I'm just trying to get basically smooth. He put backs on the lower cabinets, so I'm assuming he does the same for the uppers. If so, I'm in good shape. If not, it will still be OK. The upper corners and the ceiling are the part that I know doesn't show.
