Today I started with more mud. Was that it, before lunch? I can't think of anything else. Then we left for the afternoon. Got back around six, ate supper after 7:00. Then I sanded and did another coat of mud. I spent a while cleaning up. I removed all the tools and supplies I won't need again. But I just realized I won't need half of what I left, because it all has to be removed before the flooring goes in.
Tomorrow morning I'll do a final sand, and then paint the lower halves of the walls. If we're lucky, we'll get a second coat on. That's really only important on the places that are now bare plaster. Most of the wall has paint on it already. Several layers.
We'll have to move the refrigerator out of the way of the cabinetmaker before he arrives on Monday afternoon. And it will have to be emptied before the flooring people arrive on Tuesday. So we might as well empty it ahead of the cabinetmaker. We need to plug in the old fridge in the basement, and move everything downstairs. And move the kitchen table and chairs out of the kitchen. What else... remove the bottom couple of shelves in the pantry, for the flooring people.
