Early in the week, when the weather was nice, I was working on the vegetable garden. Later in the week, the weather was downright nasty - cold, rainy and windy - so I stayed indoors and didn't do much. By the weekend it was nice again, so I spent all three days of it outside.

Saturday I helped Cindy with a photograph in the back yard, and worked on the garden. Sunday I finished getting it dug up. Today I planted it. And we took a walk at the swamp. OK, it's a park, and there's a boardwalk or two. I heard they had lady's slippers. I think it's funny because it's called Cedarburg Bog, and it's neither in Cedarburg, nor a bog. The north side is a swamp (has trees), and the south side is a marsh. Someone there tipped us off to an actual bog that has pink lady's slippers (Spruce Lake Bog). I don't think we'll have a chance to go there soon, though.

We went out to eat on Friday night. The staff wasn't wearing masks, and all the people who were seated already weren't wearing masks, so I felt a little self-conscious being the only ones with makes. But then a few families came in wearing them, so I felt a little better. But that's about the only people I've seen wearing them since last weekend. No, the cashiers in the hardware store today had them on. Surprised me because that was the first place I went, a few weeks ago, where I was the only person in a mask.

Nice photo, and pleasantly slipper-shaped.

The words marsh, swamp and bog all sound to me like "soggy ground". Are they different?
