Or at least that's the way everyone seems to be acting.

Everyone who wants one has the vaccine, and the CDC says masks are no longer required, so... everything is back to normal!

Sorta. I went to the hardware store the other night, wondering if people would be masking. I saw a guy coming out wearing one, but he was the only one (besides me). The grocery stores still have their "masks required" signs up. I went to Target tonight, and while they no longer have a requirement for masks, I only saw two people maskless.

At work, they announced that masks are no longer required if you're vaccinated. So those who have advertised that they're not getting the vaccine are still wearing masks. Some others are still wearing masks, like myself. I'm not to the end of my two weeks since innoculation, where they say the vaccine will be up to full power, so I wear it when I'm away from my desk.

In our state, I signed up for the vaccine as early as possible. So I'm pretty much at the earliest for people in my age group (between 15 and 60), and I'm still not up to full for a few days (according to the two-weeks guideline), and they're eliminating the safety mandates. I guess the CDC figures that nobody cares, and nobody's going to be following their guidelines anyway. It's odd too, because I think Wisconsin is a bit ahead of most states for vaccination, so what about the places that aren't as far along? Still no masks? Those states are still having their own mandates?

Also, I education about the vaccines is out there, and everyone understands that it won't prevent you from getting Covid, only that it's not very likely that you'll die from it. So everyone is like, this is as good as it gets. I'm going back out there.
