I can't believe how cold it is everywhere. I was looking at the weather map this morning, and it was 17°F in Corpus Christi, right on the Gulf in south Texas! Below zero in most of northern Texas. Single digits in Dallas. It was 25 in Monterrey. They had snow on the mountains around the city.
Also, the assholes who think climate change is fake are doing their usual complaining about how this is proof that global warming isn't real. Not realizing of course, that global warming is causing this. Increased temperatures put more water in the atmosphere, which causes weather to get crazy. Specifically, the jet stream because more unstable. Instead of its usual up and down wave, it is oscillating greatly. So it goes across northern Alaska, leaving southern Alaska warm, and then it dips down to Mexico, bringing cold air with it.
But in a month, this oscillation will have spun far enough that we'll have above average temps, and the climate deniers will keep their mouths shut. Or say how much they're enjoying the warmth.
