Question from today: When did liberalism become the moral option? Why is morality not separate from political leanings?
Conservatism's version of helping people is not to help people, because then they'll never learn to do it themselves. So you help them to become self-sufficient by letting them suffer. In other words, if you don't want to help someone, you can come up with justification for not doing so.
