I had logged on and was trying to catch up on my friends since yesterday afternoon, when I noticed a peculiar yellow glow coming from the south. Cyn and I went out to look. It was the most beautiful sunset. The clouds were unique all around. I ran in for my camera. Then we decided to jump in the car and head to high ground where we could see better. It was all gold all around and above. There was a part to the south that looked like a wing (yes, "angel wing" comes to mind). As we stood there, it gradually changed from gold to pink then to grey and white. The low clouds to the east looked like a Maxfield Parrish painting. I shot a few pictures. If they turn out, I'll post them.

We're going down to watch the fireworks now. I'll try not to compare them to the sunset.
