I told you about the storm we had on Sunday. The local paper said the NWS issued a tornado warning after seeing some rotation in the atmosphere, but it was quickly rescinded.

In the next 12 hours we got about 6.5 inches of rain. Five miles north of us they got 9.5 inches. There's a condo with an underground parking garage that was flooded to the ceiling. The freeway just north of that town was closed for six hours the next morning. Commuters were trying to take a county highway that parallels the freeway, but it was flooded too. That evening the freeway near our house was closed do to flooding. It took Cyn an hour and a half to go four miles on the freeway. Her commute is normally about fifteen minutes.

at work today, I heard a lot of stories about flooding. One road washed out. Somebody's neighbors underwater. A photo of a half-submerged pickup truck. A coworker said he was up at 3am because his sump pump was barely keeping up with the water. He said it never shut off. Another coworker said his power was out for six hours.

It stormed again today. It all skirted north of us, so I'm sure those same places that were flooded yesterday are flooded again. A tornado touched down about ten miles north of my dad's place. Lots of storm damage north of us.

Right now it's raining in pretty much the entire southern half of Wisconsin. Some of it heavy.
