lost phone, the conclusion

It took them three weeks to decide they found my phone. Then another week for them to ship it to me. And it's actually mine! Now I can get all my photos off of it. And my curiosity about whether they found it is satisfied. But I still don't what happened to it. Did it just get lost, and the flight crew guy that looked for it didn't do it right? Or did that passenger actually steal it, and decide an S4 wasn't worth anything, so he left it behind?

By the way, it still had 41% battery remaining.

I can't remember if I said that a little while ago while on a trip I lost my phone. It didn't need saying really, did it?

I'm guessing that your laptop also died recently, but you found a copy of most of the important stuff on a USB stick.

No, I don't think you mentioned the phone. I hope you didn't lose anything important.

No, no trouble with the laptop. Haven't had it out of the closet in years. But if it had quit on me, I'm sure I wouldn't have had any important files backed up. No matter how many times this happens to me, I never have things backed up when it counts.

If it had been my phone it would have been dead after that period of time. So either the cleaning crew turned it off when they found it or someone charged it.

It was still on when I took it out of the box. It was in airplane mode, since I was on an airplane. And no apps were running.
