When Gale Norton was Colorado's Attorney General, she contended that the Endangered Species Act was unconstitutional. George W Bush has asked congress to take the right to petition to add a species to the endangered species list away from the public, and give the Secretary of the Interior (Norton) sole discretion on whether to add or remove a species from the list.
I suppose that you could say that her position on animals should have nothing to do with whether she should be granted this power, but it is still wrong.
